Candlelit parchment, wax seal, and a dragon scale

After Threshing

Your assignment card, decoded.

Fields below are what readers compared on Threads after bonding — plus one public example card. This page does not invent extra stats.

FieldWhat it means
Name Your dragon’s name. One public Threads example: Eidhich. Book names often use Gaelic roots; that is lore, not a naming algorithm published for the site.
Color Den color as printed on the card. Book temperament is separate; see the book dens page.
Tail type Readers mention types such as swordtail or clubtail. Full book tail list also includes daggertail, scorpiontail, morningstartail, and feathertail — only print what your card actually shows.
Sex and age Printed on reader cards. Example: male, 82. Dragons in the novels live for centuries; that is book context, not extra game UI.
Lineage Family line. Public example: Rynonian, on a brown swordtail named Eidhich.

Wing, section, squad

Cadets in a torchlit quadrant looking up
Fan art. MoodReads was assigned First Wing, Claw Section, Third Squad before Threshing. Your assignment will differ. Book wings use Flame, Claw, and Tail section names.

You receive this before Threshing, not as extra lines on the dragon card (MoodReads playtest). Four wings exist in the books; sections there are Flame, Claw, and Tail.

Where is my signet?

Rebecca said the site is designed to grow and that readers can manifest signets in May. MoodReads recorded that wording and no further official schedule. Until then, reader cards stop at the bond. Lightning and lesser magic stay in the novels.

Other confirmed extras

More named cards and the fan color tally: player reports. Threshing Day the book is thirteen first-person cadet stories — not Book Four, and not a substitute for dragonkind.com.

Is wing/section/squad on that card?

MoodReads received First Wing, Claw Section, Third Squad before Threshing, not as extra lines on the dragon card. Fan walls sometimes type a wing next to a name anyway.

Is Dragonkind the same as the Threshing Day book?

No. Threshing Day (Sept 29, 2026) is a 13-story companion collection. dragonkind.com launched October 1. Violet is not the collection’s narrator set. Deluxe book art is credited to Joe Requeza; the site credits Arancia Studio and Andreas Rocha.

Who built the website?

Story by Rebecca Yarros / Yarros Ink. Website by Infantree. Dragon art by Arancia Studio. Backgrounds by Andreas Rocha. Rebecca called it one of the only parts of the world that is entirely hers: no publishers, no studios.
